Cream Cheese Panna Cotta | PannaCotta Cheesecake

Panna Cotta Cheesecake Follow  @shugarNspices  on Facebook Follow  shugar_n_spices  on Instagram Ingredients  : Cream cheese : 100 gms Sour cream : 100 gms Heavy cream : 2-3 tbsp Milk : 2-3 tbsp  Sugar : 1/4 cup Vanilla : 1/4 tsp Gelatin : 1 sheet Water to soak gelatin Butter cookies / digestive biscuits - 4-5  Melted butter - 1.5 tbsp Mixed berry compote - 1/2 cup Method :   Soak gelatin sheet in cold water.  grind the biscuits / cookies, mix melted butter and use it to make bottom layer.  Pour it in the glass / cup, and press it well. keep in refrigerator till we work on next steps. Heat milk a sauce pan, as it boils add heavy cream and mix, add sour cream and mix well.  reduce the heat to medium and add cream cheese, mix well.  add sugar and mix well till sugar is dissolved.  Now take the gelatin sheet out of water, squeeze well and add to sauce pan.  Whisk vigorously til...

Mixed berries compote

This is one of my favorite things to make and keep. Super simple but very diversely useful. Top it on yogurt, french toast, ice cream, panna cotta, cheesecake, toast, waffles, pancake, oatmeal, crackers etc. the possibilities are endless. Follow  @shugarNspices  on Facebook Follow  shugar_n_spices  on Instagram Ingredients : Mixed berries - 1.5 cups ( I used frozen)  Sugar : 2 - 3 tbsp Lemon zest - 1/2 tsp  Method :  In a sauce pan heat the berries. bring to boil.  Add sugar and mix. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for few minutes. Using a potato masher or fork or your spatula, mash a few berries. but leave a few chunks.  add lime / lemon zest and mix.  Now simmer and keep stirring.  Cook till you are left with half the quantity (3/4 cup) Remove from heat and let it cool completely.  Notes : No need to thaw or chop frozen berries. from freezer to pan.  If using fresh berrie...

Carrot Cake I have tried carrot cake numerous times, with shredded carrots / grated carrots, with eggs, but was never satisfied. But this recipe is just perfect..!! Less work and better results. The combination for citrus zest and spices makes it even more delicious. Kada Prasad | Atta Halwa | Wheat Flour Pudding

Kada Prasad It is a very simple and basic recipe. It follows the ratio of 1:1:1:3 for flour:sugar:ghee:water. A traditional sweet that is being served in Gurudwara for ages. Ingredients :  Whole wheat flour : 1/4 cup Sugar : 1/4 cup Ghee : 1/4 cup (measure melted ghee) Water : 3/4 cup Cardomon (optional) : a pinch of cardamom powder Dry fruits of your choice (optional) - chopped almonds and cashews : 2-3 tbsp Method : Heat ghee in a pan. Add flour and mix.  Cook it on medium heat for a few minutes. Keep stiring in between. In the mean time heat water and sugar in another pan. We dont need to make syrup, just heat till sugar dissolves. Cook flour on high for 2-3 minutes, and turn back heat to medium-low.  Turn off heat of the sugar mix.  Cook it till you get a nice brown colour.  Add sugar water mix to the flour mix, and keep stirring. Ingredients: Oranges : 2-3 (for juice and zest) Orange juice : 1/2 cup  Orange Zest : 2 Tsp All Purpose Flour : 200 gm (around 1 & half cup + 2 Tbsp) Baking Powder : 1&1/2 Tsp Baking Soda : 1/2 Tsp Sugar : 3/4 cup (around 100 gm) Yogurt : 1/2 cup Oil : 1/2 cup Method: Preheat oven to 350 ℉ or 180 ℃. Yoghurt and Granola Parfait

Ingredients : Greek yoghurt - 1 cup granola (home made or store bought) - 1 cup whipped cream (optional) - 1/2 cup Fresh Fruits of your choice (i used kiwi & strawberry) - 1/2 to 1 cup, chopped powdered sugar (optional) - 1 to 2 tbsp Method : Fold in yogurt and half of whipped cream. If using only yogurt just whip the yogurt. Coat the fruits in powdered sugar. In a small glass pipe out the yogurt.  Pour a layer of fruits Pour granola layer and fruits again pipe yogurt Repeat the layers Pipe a little whipped cream and garnish with chopped fruits and a slice of strawberry Notes: *Don't make the parfait way ahead of serving else granola will become soggy. *If fruits are sweet you can skip sugar. *Adjust sugar quantity based on sourness or sweetness of fruits you are using *Used chilled yogurt and cream

Eggless chocolate cake

The recipe below is for one cake. I made 2 cakes and then arranged them in one Ingridients : For cake- Maida - 1/2 cup Cocoa powder - 3 tbsp Baking powder - 1/4 tsp Baking soda - 1/4 tsp salt a pinch water or milk - 1/4 cup coffee powder - 1/4 tsp vanilla extract - 1/4 tsp powdered sugar - 1/2 cup yogurt - 2 tbsp buttermilk - 1/4 cup oil 2.5 tbsp For syrup- water - 1/4 cup Sugar - 1&1/2 tbsp For Ganache- heavy cream - 100 ml semi sweet chocolate - 150 gms cream - 2 tbsp for decorating choco chips Method : Sift all dry ingredients Mix vanilla & coffee with water (or milk) In a bowl whip yogurt and sugar Add oil and whip for a few more minutes Add buttermilk and mix. Now add dry ingredients and coffee mix  Fold using spatula, do not overmix. Sooji ka halwa

This one is a quick and easy recipe. There are many small variations that you can make in this recipe. when you are in a mood for a quick Indian sweet this recipe comes to your rescue. Or have a fufilling breakfast and serve halwa with poori . I have been making this for a long time now and for almost every auspicious occasion or pooja . Specially for ashtami pooja during navratri make it with kala chana and poori . Ingredients : Sooji / Rawa - 1 cup Sugar - 3/4 to 1 cup (depending how sweet you like your halwa) Ghee - 1 cup (measure melted ghee) Water - 3 1/2  cup (or mix half water and half milk for richer & thicker texture) Cardamom - 2-3 crushed  (or 1/2 tsp cardamom powder) Raisins - 1 tbsp Dry-fruit of your choice (Cashews / Almond / Pistachio ) - 2 tbsp saffron - few strands - dissolve in 1 tbsp of water (Optional) Method : 1.
