Plain paratha


Paratha is the most commonly used bread in north India. Plain paratha can be served with sabzi and dal.

The paratha made with desi ghee are delicious and rich, but if oyu dont like ghee you can make it with oil also.

There are many versions of it Aloo paratha, paneer paratha, Mooli paratha, and the options are endless. These are made by stuffing different veggies and are mostly served for breakfast with curd.


Wheat flour - 2 cups
Salt - 1 tsp
Oil - 2 tsp
Ghee - as reuired for cooking
Water - as required for kneading


Kneaded dough

divide in balls
