Jaamun Popsicle | Java plum posicles | Ice pop
Ingredients:
- Jaamun - 250 gms
- Mint leaves - 15-20
- Water - 3 cups
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Sugar - 5-6 tbsp
- Roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Chat masala - 1 tsp
- Lemon juice - 2 -3 tsp
- Kala namak - 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Boil water. Add salt sugar and jaamun to it and let it boil for 5-6 mins till jaamun becomes soft. Add mint leaves and boil for 5 more mins.
- Let it cool. Now sieve the mixture and mash the jaamun with your hand to get as much pulp out as possible. Discard the leaves, seeds and jaamun skin.
- Add remaining ingredients to the concoction.
- Mix well. Increase the sugar if required.
- Pour in moulds and freeze for 7-8 hours or overnight.
Notes:
- The amount of sugar depends on your taste
- Sprinkle some chat masala after unmoulding while serving
- It gives a sweet and sour taste like kala khatta.
