Jaamun Popsicle | Java plum posicles | Ice pop





Ingredients:
  1. Jaamun - 250 gms
  2. Mint leaves - 15-20
  3. Water - 3 cups 
  4. Salt - 1/2 tsp
  5. Sugar - 5-6 tbsp
  6. Roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp
  7. Chat masala - 1 tsp
  8. Lemon juice - 2 -3 tsp
  9. Kala namak - 1/2 tsp

Method:
  • Boil water. Add salt sugar and jaamun to it and let it boil for 5-6 mins till jaamun becomes soft. Add mint leaves and boil for 5 more mins.
  • Let it cool. Now sieve the mixture and mash the jaamun with your hand to get as much pulp out as possible. Discard the leaves, seeds and  jaamun skin.
  • Add remaining ingredients to the concoction. 
  • Mix well. Increase the sugar if required.
  • Pour in moulds and freeze for 7-8 hours or overnight.

Notes:
  • The amount of sugar depends on your taste
  • Sprinkle some chat masala after unmoulding while serving
  • It gives a sweet and sour taste like kala khatta.
